General Info

Scorpions are six legged arachnid that has a dangerous stinger on its tail for protection. The stinger has a poison and as soon as anything goes touches it, the poison releaces. Scorpions are mainly found in warmer climate places. A scorpions body has two parts, in the front it is short and thick. The rear part is long and shelled with a stinger. Most scorpions grow to be 1/2 to 8 inches. 1

Scorpions are called arachnids, their related to the spider and tick. These animals have been on earth for more than 400 million years. Before dinosaurs. Scorpions are nocturnal. To be nocturnal is to be most active in the daytime. 1


Where Can I Find One?

Scorpions can be found on every continent except antartica. These amazing creatures can adapt to any inviroment and can live in all habitats. Scorpions are mostly seen in the desert, but they are also found in rain forests, praires, grasslands, Mountians, caves, ponds and seashores. 1


Life span
